By April 2024, Rosspirtprom has eight alcohol factories, two of them are located in North Ossetia, one in Kabardino-Balkaria, as well as in Tula, Kursk, Novosibirsk and other regions. The company is engaged in the production of ethyl alcohol, provides transport services for the transportation of dangerous goods, as well as the export, storage outside the places of seizure, destruction by court decision of seized from illegal circulation or confiscated ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products. The report of Rosspirtprom said that sales of alcohol by the company in 2024 will amount to 16.5 million decaliters (dal), in 2025 - 17.5 million dal, in 2026 - 18.5 million dal.

The head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov proposed to privatize Rosspirtprom. The proposal to privatize the company's assets was associated with a weakening of its position: according to the Ministry of Finance, Rosspirtprom's share in the market in the first quarter of 2024 decreased to 42.5% and to 31.7%, taking into account exports. The Ministry of Finance considered that in order to maintain the role of Rosspirtprom as the largest Russian producer and supplier of ethyl alcohol, a more flexible marketing policy, sales profitability management, and the ability to quickly make decisions on significant transactions for the company are needed.[1]
