2025: Master's Degree Launch Plan "Artificial Intelligence and Financial Technologies"

In the fall of 2025, Sberbank, the Russian School of Economics (NES) and the Skolkovsky Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) will launch the master's program "Artificial Intelligence and Financial Technologies." The program combines best practices, scientific and applied knowledge. It focuses on quantitative finance and financial technology using mathematical models of artificial intelligence, analytics, risk management and trading. Students will study key aspects of modern financial markets, institutions, technologies and products and will be able to work on Sberbank projects. Sberbank announced this on February 12, 2025.

The curriculum is based on feedback from the heads of different divisions of Sberbank and will help students to form knowledge and skills for successful work in fintech. The training will last two years. The first enrollment is designed for 20-30 students. Documents are accepted from June 20 to July 28. Applicants need to take exams in mathematics and English and be  interviewed. You can also enter the NES Olympiad: the nearest one will be held on April 19.

{{quote 'author=said Dzhangir Dzhangirov, senior vice president, head of Sberbank's Risks unit. | Cooperation with leading universities is a priority for Sberbank. We strive to attract talented young specialists and together form curricula so that training is as productive as possible and creates a reliable base for a confident start and professional growth of children in leading companies in Russia. Together with NES and Skoltech, we have developed a cross-disciplinary modular program in which 7-8 weeks are allotted for each subject. Professors with a PhD degree from the world's leading universities, as well as international professionals and experts in the field of finance and artificial intelligence, will teach. I think this program is also important for the development of the country as a whole, given the specifics of artificial intelligence, which gives a powerful increase in efficiency in all industries, including fintech,}}
