Biography

In 1970 got an education in Lomonosov Moscow State University.

From 1970 to 1989 worked as the engineer, the senior engineer, the head of department in NPO Kibernetika.

In 1983 held a position of the chief engineer, the first deputy director of the scientific and thematic center NPO Kibernetika.

In 1977 defense of a thesis - Candidate of Technical Sciences.

In 1987 defense of a thesis - the Doctor of Engineering.

From 1989 to 1992 worked in the International center for information science and electronics (Moscow) as the First Deputy CEO.

From 1992 to 2001 was a part of Board of Directors of Business-svyaz companies (Moscow) and Ukrsat (Kiev).

From 2001 to 2006 worked as the director of the Center of software technologies of RAS.

In 2003 received a position of the CEO, adviser at the International research institute of problems of management.

Since 2006 works as the director of Institute of problems of information transfer of A.A. Harkevich of RAS.

Since 2006 teacher of Higher School of Economics.

In 2016 received a position of the president of the Skolkovo institute of science and technologies.

President Skoltech

On February 12, 2016 the press service of Skolkovo Foundation announced appointment of the academician of RAS Alexander Kuleshov to a position of the president of institute of science and technologies (Skoltech)^[1].

Earlier professor of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Edward Crowley, from foundation date of institute in 2011 was the head of Skoltech. Professor Crowley it will be necessary to teach in Skoltech. The reasons of its leaving it is not announced.

Alexander Kuleshov at a ceremony of delegation of power said that the new post for it – "is at the same time great honor and enormous responsibility".

For me the slogan of Skoltech is "School for presented". The quality of students is the main key to success. It is impossible to revaluate a deposit of professor of MIT Edward Crowley.
