History

2018

In the spring of 2018 SWR Group and "Nanosoft" signed the partnership agreement. The SWR group (earlier – SolidWorks Russia) began delivery of the Russian solutions nanoCAD of Plus and Mechanic's nanoCAD in the mode of full compatibility with AUTOMATED WORKPLACE SWR – the Russian support system of automated design of products, development technology and production processes of production and data management throughout ZhTsI.

2017

• Change of structure of the company – creation of SWR Group.
• Transformation of model of business – from deliveries of software to creation of information infrastructure of the enterprise in the field of KTPP.
• Since   October, 2017 the company representing in Russia CAD solid modeling SolidWorks and  known since   1998 under the name SolidWorks Russia received a new name – SWR Group. Rebranding is a part of the events held in  the company along with  the internal restructuring directed to providing complete solutions to customers for ensuring end-to-end automation  including  within the concept of digital productions.

2016: For the first time can exclude a product because of forgery from the register of the Russian software

As CNews knew, the sign precedent was outlined in work of the Register of the Russian software at the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications: can delete the software product which was included in the Register due to inclusion in the request of obviously false data concerning the description of software from it. Earlier false data were found out in requests only at a stage of their giving, and complete confidence that applicants turned on them maliciously, at experts was not.

Under suspicion there was a solution automated workplace SWR of the SolidWorks Russia company registered in Russia (the legal person — Solidvorks R. LLC) positioning itself as the supplier of a CAD. The considered product is provided on the website of the company as support system of automated design of products. It was included in the Register on November 8, 2015.

According to CNews, a few days ago on the Russian software at the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications one of participants of the market of a CAD with indication of on the fact that he upon the automated workplace SWR is only a cover (the utility of access) of the foreign system of design SolidWorks addressed to Expert advice. This system was developed by the American company SolidWorks Corporation (SolidWorks Russia acts as its distributor in Russia), which since 1997 is independent division of the French company Dassault Systemes.

The source in Expert advice, familiar with contents of the request for the automated workplace SWR, reported to CNews that it was made in such a way that completely corresponded to criteria of domestic software. The product was called own development of the applicant that was supported with the certificate on state registration of the computer program No. 2015612292 of February 17, 2015. No instructions in the request for presence at it of foreign solutions existed. For this reason she also received the positive decision of the responsible expert — the head of the known Russian company whose competence does not raise any doubts^[1].

If charges are confirmed, then according to regulations of the government decree of November 16, 2015 No. 1236 "about restriction of admission of foreign software for state procurements" the applicant convicted of forgery within a year will not be able to submit other applications to the Register for the same product.

The SolidWorks Russia company annually confirms the status of one of the best suppliers of SolidWorks in the world on sales volumes of commercial, educational licenses and that is more important - on the level of technical competences.

Opening of offices in Samara, Yekaterinburg.

2004

Creation of the Internet portal of technical support of users of SWR-CRM/Helpdesk. The beginning of programs of support of the Russian educational institutions SWR Academy  within which the company delivers to universities of the country educational packets on favorable terms and  carries out training of teachers of departments. Thanks to this program many young specialists upon termination of university already have basic knowledge and  skills of work with  3D - modeling and  other means, including management systems for engineering data.

2003

At the beginning of the 21st century the company took a number of further steps for business development, including opening of two regional offices.

1998

In 1998 the company made the decision on transition to sales of SolidWorks technologies and found a name – SolidWorks Russia. The basic solution of the company is SolidWorks CAD from Dassault Systèmes. The company became the sole distributor of this product in the territory of Russia and  the CIS countries in   1998 (the status "Value Added Reseller" that meant a possibility of completion and  a doukomplektovyvaniye of a product). Localization of SolidWorks in the territory of Russia was executed by engineers of the company, and  afterwards this system became a core of our automated workplace SWR platform.

From this year the history of approach to sales management, works on implementation and service support of projects of SolidWorks in Russia is counted. In a year the Company opened the second office in St. Petersburg and created own division of advanced developments providing adaptation of a software package under requirements of the Russian customers.

1995

In 1995 there is the first release of the software package SolidWorks.

1991

The company works at the market CADCAM//CAE/PLM-solutions since 1991. Clients of the company in Russia - more than 2 thousand enterprises and 450 educational institutions.
