2021: Blocking the site for selling prescription drugs online

In mid-April 2021, Roskomnadzor first blocked the site of a large pharmacy chain for selling prescription drugs over the Internet. The work of the Superapteka.ru site owned by Erkafarm Group of Companies was suspended.

According to Vedomosti, the decision to block the service was made by Roszdravnadzor on March 16, 2021 after the appeal of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kunashaksky district of the Chelyabinsk region. Roskomnadzor sent the site administration Superapteka.ru notification of the need to remove the announcement of remote trade in prescription drugs, but it did not. On March 19, access to the resource was limited.

In turn, Erkafarm considers the charges unfounded. Deputy General Director Dmitry Bokov noted that the group does not sell prescription drugs - a statement about unlocking the site and the absence of violations was sent to Roskomnadzor.

Roskomnadzor first blocks the site of a large pharmacy company, says DSM Group CEO Sergey Shulyak. This is confirmed by two employees of pharmacy chains. Prior to this, for the sale of prescription drugs, access was limited only to the sites of small companies.

According to the DSM Group, which Vedomosti cites, by the beginning of 2021, the Erkafarm network consisted of 1079 pharmacies, including the brands Doctor Stoletov, Ozerki and Samson Pharma (the company's management does not recognize the fact of ownership). This is the second largest pharmacy chain in the country after Rigla, the newspaper writes.

The Union of Professional Pharmaceutical Organizations (it includes Rigla, Neofarm, Erkafarm) tried to get the Ozon.ru that launched the delivery of over-the-counter drugs when it was still banned. But the Prosecutor General's Office, which was contacted by pharmacy chains, did not find any violations and refused to block the service.[1]
