Susumansky Mining and Processing Plant Susumanzoloto JSC (abbreviated name - Susumanzoloto OJSC) was registered on June 21, 1994.
Susumanzoloto OJSC is the successor of the Susuman Mining and Processing Plant, formed in 1938 as the Western Mining and Industrial Administration.
Performance indicators
2022: Debt growth by 2 billion rubles
At the end of 2022, Susumanzolot's revenue amounted to 25.51 billion rubles, down 15% compared to a year ago, which was 30.09 billion rubles. The company's net profit in comparison with these periods decreased by 80% - from 2.63 billion to 530 million rubles. Such data on RAS, one of the largest gold miners in Russia published in April 2023.
According to Interfax, citing materials from Susumanzolot, in 2022 the company's debt on loans and loans increased by 2 billion rubles due to an increase in the interest rate: an increase in the key rate in the spring led to an increase in the interest rates on loans tied to it, the company explains. From the beginning of 2023 to mid-April 2023, Susumanzoloto attracted another 0.7 billion rubles in Sberbank.
The significant drop in net profit in the company was explained by a significant decrease in ruble prices for gold. Average sales prices decreased by 15%, to 3620 rubles per gram. The volume of sales sank slightly, by 1%, and amounted to about 7 tons of gold (the buyers were including Sberbank and VTB). At the end of 2022, the cost of Susumanzolot increased by 4%, to 20.6 billion rubles, other revenues decreased significantly.
In 2022, Susumanzoloto exceeded the gold mining plan. Among the leaders are LLC Drazhnik and LLC Chai-Urya Gold. How much Drezhnik got is not specified, but it is known that the plan was exceeded by 172.5 kg. "Tea-Urya Gold" extracted 845.8 kg this year.
By the beginning of 2022, the group closed the top 10 largest gold mining companies in the Russian Federation. In addition to the JSC of the same name, it includes the Omchak air defense system, the Drazhnik, Chai-Urya Gold companies, the Sturmovskaya mine and other structures (their indicators are not taken into account in RAS). At the end of 2022, the main shareholder of Susumanzolot with a 94.6% stake was the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC).[1]

Board Update
In May 2023, an extraordinary meeting of Susumanzolot shareholders was held, within the framework of which a decision was made to update the composition of the company's board of directors. It included two new members out of seven.
As Interfax reports with reference to the Susumanzolot message, the son of businessman Iskandar Makhmudov Jakhangir Makhmudov and director of UMMC-Invest Fedor Kirsanov left the board of directors of the group. Instead, the board included UMMC technical director Andrei Panshin and head of the corporate monitoring department of corporate relations management Andrei Vaskin.
The remaining five members of the board of directors remained the same: Deputy Director for Corporate Relations and Special Projects of UMMC Alexei Igoshin, Head of the Corporate Relations Department of UMMC Albert Batrshin, Deputy General Director for Internal Audit and Control Alexander Zubkov, Deputy Technical Director for Mining and Processing Production Alexei Pushkin, as well as Director for Quality and Work with Precious Metals of Uralelectromed (part of UMMC) Alexey Batuev.
In accordance with the charter of Susumanzolot, which is published on the website, the board of directors is a collegial management body of the company, which exercises general management of its activities, as well as control over the work of the group's executive bodies. Among other things, the Board of Directors determines the company's development strategy and priorities.
By May 2023, Susumanzoloto is one of the largest gold mining companies in the Russian Federation. In addition to the eponymous JSC, the group includes the gold mining companies Omchak, Drazhnik, Chai-Urya Gold, the Sturmovskaya mine and other structures.[2]
Appointment of Valery Polyakov to the post of general director
In early March 2023, it became known about the appointment of Valery Polyakov as the new general director of Susumanzoloto. Thus, there was the second change in the head of the gold mining company in a year after the arrival of Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC) as a new shareholder. For 2015, Susumanzoloto OJSC is one of the ten largest gold mining enterprises operating in Russia, being the largest gold mining enterprise in the Magadan Region. The share of OJSC Susumanzoloto in the production of gold in Kolyma in 2014 amounted to 16.6%, the share in the production of gold from placer deposits - 23.3%.
As of January 1, 2015, 36 tons of precious metal, including 30 tons of placer gold and 6 tons of ore gold, are listed on the company's balance sheet in categories S1 and S2. This is a powerful raw material base for gold-bearing deposits among enterprises in the North-East of Russia.
According to the management structure, the company is a holding. The parent company of Susumanzoloto OJSC owns a license for the right to develop deposits of placer and ore gold, the owner of the mined metal, the owner and balance holder of the property.
Subsidiaries are established to work in one of the activities of the holding and work with Susumanzoloto OJSC on the basis of a contract. In addition, on the basis of contracts with Susumanzoloto OJSC, other contracting enterprises that are not subsidiaries of the plant also mine precious metal on the company's licenses.
By type of production, the largest amount of metal OJSC Susumanzoloto extracts from placer deposits by open method. To develop deposits in this way, contracts were concluded with subsidiaries of Quarry Chelbanya LLC, Astra LLC, Chai-Urya Gold LLC, Gerba LLC. These four enterprises mined about 1,700 kg of gold in 2014.
A subsidiary of LLC Drazhnik is engaged in the extraction of metal in a dreary way. In 2014, Drazhnik LLC operated 8 drag and 6 walking excavators. The expected production is about 1300 kg.
