2020: The plant is offered for sale of Avito for 1.2 billion rubles

At the beginning of June, 2020 Electrozinc was offered for sale on the Avito portal. The cost of the plant belonging to Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company is 1.2 billion rubles.

Follows from the description that, in particular, three land plots with a total area of 64.4 hectares, 216 buildings with a total area of 432 thousand sq.m, from them production 169 thousand sq.m, 141 vehicles are a part of a property complex.

 The press service of the company  noted that, despite  specialization of the enterprise, production chegoto another is possible there.  According to  Telegram-канал Readovka, the plant was one of  principle places of employment for  citizens: on  it nearly two thousand people worked, in  2019  reduced a half of them. In  the declaration it is also told about  "presence in  Vladikavkaz of a large number of skilled workers of the personnel, especially in  metallurgy".

At the plant produced zinc, cadmium and sulfuric acid that caused protests of residents of Vladikavkaz — they considered that Electrozinc poisons the soil, air and water. Then the Governor of North Ossetia Vyacheslav Bitarov said that Electrozinc should be closed if the management cannot ensure its safety.

After the fire in  one of  workshops in  2018  as a result of which one rescuer of the Ministry of emergencies died the enterprise was preserved, employment contracts were terminated more than with  one thousand employees. By the beginning of June, 2020 of JSC Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company 77.56% of authorized capital of Electrozinc belong.^[1]

2018: Electrozinc invests more than half a billion rubles in production

About 526 million rubles JSC Electrozinc (the enterprise of a metallurgy sector of UMMC) in 2018 is going to enclose upgrade and acquisition of the new equipment in capital construction, replacement worn out. Investments will be directed to maintenance of the operating fixed assets, technical re-equipment and development of production capacities for the purpose of increase in its efficiency, reliability and environmental friendliness.

As the chief engineer of JSC Electrozinc Dmitry Binder, told a number of large projects already in a stage of active implementation today. "The project on technical re-equipment of a system of transportation of turnover dust in a velzzekha is executed, now there is a procedure of equipment selection, are going to complete until the end of the year fully this work. The project on technical re-equipment of department of classification is also prepared, materials are ordered, pumps, commissioning is planned for fall of this year", - he noted.

The project of the largest investment object in the history of the enterprise - the new electro-winning facility of zinc is directed to state examination. Preliminary works on liquidation of the lead production stopped in 2016 in a development stage projects of unit for production of zinc vitriol and replacement of electric precipitators of calcination workshop are also begun.

As specialists of the enterprise note, in 2017 on Electrozinc a number of the projects directed to stabilization and increase in production efficiency is implemented. For example, in sulphuric acid workshop the new gas-blowing device is mounted and also the new sanitary pipe is entered into work, in hydrometallurgical section of a grinding of velts-oxides is upgraded, and in electrolytic – the new compressor is started in work. In total in 2017 288 million rubles were directed to the capital investments.
