We managed to achieve significant growth in 2019 due to the following factors: due to an increase in sales volumes in the corporate and B2B segments, due to the successful implementation of projects with large and local Russian Internetproviders ones - as well as due to an increase in the average price of the device in the retail sales segment - against the background of an increase in the share of high-performance devices of the AS and Mesh classes in it,

Among the consumer product categories, Wi-Fi routers adapters and repeaters with Wi-Fi support, 802.11ac as well as Deco Mesh Systems routers with support, proved to be the fastest growing. LTE The corporate segment notes a significant increase in sales of Omada Wi-Fi equipment, as well as switchboards support for Power over. Ethernet

2019 was a difficult year for the entire market, and therefore we are doubly happy with the results achieved: we successfully launched a wide line of Wi-Fi Mesh Deco systems on the market, and at the end of 2019 we presented our first device with Wi-Fi 6 support in Russia (802.11ax). 2017: TP-Link neglects the safety of its customers

European official sites of the Chinese manufacturer TP-Link are significantly lagging behind in providing new firmware versions compared to the resources of other vendors, Norwegian researcher Daniel Alexandersen TP-Link[3] found out]. The expert was convinced of this from his own experience when he tried to download the firmware for the recently acquired TP-Link repeater from the company's Norwegian portal. As it turned out, only the outdated firmware version was available on the site, while on the Swedish and Danish resources there was a fresh version[4] TP-Link firmware neglecting the[5].

"There is a 29.63% chance that when you visit your local TP-Link site, you will either receive an outdated version or not receive the firmware at all," says Alexandersen.

This situation prompted the expert to conduct his own investigation of the quality of service of TP-Link European customers. Alexandersen checked the availability of firmware for 9 selected products of the company at random. According to Alexandersen, the latest firmware versions were available to users in only six European countries - the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Romania. The most deplorable situation was in Switzerland. One reason may be that the country has only recently switched to EU electronic standards.

According to Alexandersen, only TP-Link is to blame for this situation. According to him, the problem should not have existed initially. According to EU standards, hardware manufacturers must provide unified firmware packages with support for radio frequencies and all languages of the EU member states. Even non-EU states adhere to these standards for convenience.

"In fact, in the general EU market, there should be no need for country-oriented firmware for network equipment," Alexandersen said, adding that most of TP-Link's competitors, in particular ASUS, Linksys and Netgear, offer "global" updates, instead of separate versions for different countries.

TP-Link sites also do not offer any notifications about the availability of new firmware versions, so users themselves have to periodically check for an update.
