2024: 7.5% revenue cut to ₽63 billion

Taganrog Metallurgical Plant (Tagmet), part of TMK, completed 2024 with a net loss of ₽4,82 billion. The company's revenue decreased by 7.5% and amounted to ₽63 billion. Such data are provided in the financial statements published on March 10, 2025. The decrease in indicators is due to weakening demand for pipe products and changes in market conditions.

According to Finmarket, a year earlier the company showed a positive financial result - a net profit of ₽134,1 million. Thus, the Taganrog Metallurgical Plant showed a sharp deterioration in financial performance over the past year.

In addition to generating a significant loss and reducing revenue, the company faced an increase in accounts payable, which increased from ₽48,779 billion in 2023 to ₽52,871 billion in 2024. At the same time, accounts receivable increased - from ₽12,437 billion to ₽15,101 billion over the same period.

Despite the deterioration in financial performance, Tagmet retains its production facilities and continues to produce a wide range of products. The company specializes in the production of various types of steel pipes, including high-strength products with special properties, corrosion-resistant pipes, as well as pipes with highly tight threaded joints.

The product range of the plant also includes seamless hot-deformed steel pipes, drill pipes with welded locks, tubing and casing pipes together with couplings to them, pipes for well repair and steel water-gas pipes.

An important competitive advantage of the Taganrog Metallurgical Plant is the presence of its own steelmaking complex, which fully meets the company's needs for steel pipe billet, which allows the company to control the quality of products at all stages of production and optimize logistics costs.^[1]
