2026: Bureau deputy head Konstantin Borisov received 9 years of strict regime for bribes
On March 3, 2026, the Kinelsky District Court of the Samara Region announced the verdict to the ex-deputy head of the Main Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise (BMSE) in the Samara Region, Konstantina Borisova. He was found guilty of receiving and paying bribes, as well as abuse of office. Konstantin Borisov was sentenced to nine years in prison in a strict regime colony. Read more here.
2024: Ex-head of bureau sent to jail
On February 28, 2024, it became known that the Samara District Court sent Dmitry Drach, the former head of the Samara Main Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise (BMSE), to the pre-trial detention center. The official is accused of abuse of office (part 3 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), which entailed grave consequences. Read more here.
