History
2024: Rebranding begins
On October 1, 2024, Odgers Berndtson Russia representatives announced the start of the rebranding process and withdrawal from the international consulting network. The team starts working under a new brand - The Edgers. Together with the change in positioning, corporate identity and name of the legal entity, the expert profile will also change - the company will strengthen the direction of strategic consulting for Russian and international business.
The management presented a multi-product strategy that includes 10 products combined into four key areas: research services for evaluating compensation and compensation systems in the top management market (Executive Research), selection of senior managers (Executive Search), development of leaders and teams (Executive Development) and strategic business consulting (Strategic Consulting). The strategy also involves the creation of external partnerships, including cooperation with market leaders and consulting boutiques, which have specialized expertise in various industries.
The company plans to strengthen its presence in the Russian market and by the end of 2025 exceed the annual revenue of 1 billion rubles. The Edgers projects are implemented in the Middle East, Asia and Latin America, the team's plans include intensive international expansion. Along with this, experts intend to increase the share of profits from strategic consulting - from 10% to 30% of the total. The name The Edgers (from the English "edge" - advantage) emphasizes the collective's desire to remain "at the tip" of trends.
Since its inception in 2001, the brand has implemented over 3,500 projects for 700 large and medium-sized businesses in the following industries: IT, finance, industry, retail, real estate, sports and media.
The strength of the brand is not in identity, but in the values and expertise of the team. Our expertise has long gone beyond the search for top managers, but in the minds of many we still specialized mainly in German. It turned out to be an interesting case: a strong and respected brand began to "restrain" the team - not push forward, but, on the contrary, limit. With far more services and products being delivered locally than our UK counterparts, we understood rebranding was inevitable. The Edgers are also freedom for a team that grows annually. 2012: Areas of activity and number of employees
The activities of Odgers Berndtson Russia (Odgers Berndtson) consist in the selection of professional managers and in advising clients (large Russian and international companies) in the assessment and development of employees, HR strategy, and the state of the labor market.
Odgers Berndtson's Moscow office team consisted entirely of former consultants to Pynes & Moerner, in full force remaining in the company, and as of March 2012 had more than thirty employees. The company's consultants have completed over a thousand executive search projects, both locally and internationally, in various sectors of the economy.
