TsNIRTI named after A.I. Berg

FSUE Central Research Radio Engineering Institute. Academician A.I. Berg - TsNIRTI - an enterprise for the development of complexes and means of various bases for electronic counteraction of radio-controlled weapons, special anti-terrorist equipment and competitive science-intensive civilian products.

The Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Central Research Radio Engineering Institute named after Academician A.I. Berg" was founded in 1943 as a leading institute for radar. Under the leadership of the first director - Academician A.I. Berg in VNII-108 (the first name of TsNIRTI), fundamental and applied research was carried out in the field of radar, which became the basis for the development of such modern directions as electronic warfare (EW), aviation and space electronic surveillance, electronic air defense systems, quantum electronics, complexes of missile defense, radio resistance to electronic surveillance, electric vacuum and semiconductor devices, etc.

2025: Falling under EU sanctions

On October 23, 2025, the European Union introduced the next, 19th in a row, package of restrictive measures against the Russian Federation. In particular, TsNIRTI fell under the sanctions. Read more here.
