2024: Payment of 29 million rubles to Google's subsidiary in Russia
On August 5, 2024, it became known that the TuBiDu advertising agency paid ₽29 million to a Google subsidiary in Russia. The funds were transferred on July 26, 2024 in favor of Google LLC, which is in the process of bankruptcy. The amount of payment includes the principal debt in the amount of ₽24,7 million and accrued interest in the amount of ₽4,8 million.
According to RB.ru, after paying the debt, the Moscow Arbitration Court canceled the interim measures previously introduced against TuBiDu at the request of the Russian subsidiary Google. As a result, the agency's settlement accounts with Russian banks were unblocked.
The situation with the payment of the debt to TuBiDu is part of a larger process of collecting funds from Russian advertising agencies in favor of Google LLC. Earlier, the Moscow Arbitration Court seized the accounts of nine advertising agencies for a total of ₽8,6 billion due to non-payment of advertising services.
As part of this process, the court satisfied several claims of Google LLC against various advertising agencies. In particular, it was decided to recover ₽1,5 billion from Emdzhik LLC, ₽144,3 million from Adventum Consulting, and ₽432 million from Artix Is. At the same time, Artix Is has already paid ₽1,4 billion of the awarded ₽1,8 billion.
In relation to the company "Amnet," with which LLC "Google" requires ₽833 million, the court also introduced interim measures. Amnet officials said such measures were disproportionate and could jeopardize employee pay.
Google representatives claim that the defendants in the claims received money from end customers who were intended to pay for the services of companies that directly place advertisements.
As for the TuBiDu company, by the beginning of August 2024 it belongs to four individuals: Sergei Fedotkin, Pavel Gitelman, Evgeny Bychkov and Liubov Zhenina.[1]
