UCL Rail performs transportation of goods on all network of the railroads of Russia and on the international directions within a track 1520.

For August, 2013 in the property of UCL Rail of 209 thousand freight cars, including more than 112 thousand gondola cars and more than 55 thousand tanks. The regional network of the company is provided by branches in 14 cities of Russia, and international – in Ukraine and Finland.
The balanced client portfolio contains about 5 thousand companies from which 80% are the leading industry enterprises of the country. UCL Rail provides the needs for transportation of loads of the largest companies for segments of extraction and production of oil and gas, metals, coal and other industries.
The car-repair enterprise, joint with JSC "Russian Railways", – depot of Dirt which specializes in routine maintenance and overhaul repairs of freight cars of different types (gondola cars, platforms, okatyshevoza, cement trucks) also is a part of UCL Rail.
History
December, 2010 - Creation of UCL Rail as a part of UCL Holding for consolidation and effective development of railway assets.
April, 2011 - UCL Rail buys from JSC Novolipetsk Metallurgical Combine (NLMK) 100% of stocks of Independent Transport Company (ITC) LLC with the park in operating numbering 28 thousand cars and also with several auxiliary enterprises. NTK services the enterprises of NLMK Group and about 200 other clients.
October, 2011 - "The independent transport company" purchases 75% of stocks of JSC Freight One (FO) at JSC "Russian Railways". UCL Rail becomes the largest private railway operator in the world.
December, 2012 - UCL Rail closes the deal on purchase of the remained 25% of stocks of Freight One from JSC "Russian Railways" that opens additional opportunities for further integration of NTK and PGK.
