2021: Opening the Medical Development Center

On March 18, 2021, Almaz-Antey Concern opened a medical research and production complex in St. Petersburg - Medprom East Kazakhstan Region. This site will be used to develop and collect prototypes of medical equipment.

We have actually opened a new competence center in the field of medical developments - the site of East Kazakhstan region "Medprom." At the subsidiaries of the concern, the next stage of production work has already been debugged - serial production of a number of medical products, "said Alexander Vedrov, deputy general director of the concern.

According to him, the technological capabilities of the enterprise are limited only by the needs of customers. More than 50 Russian developers were involved in the work on this site, the site is equipped with scientific laboratories and X-ray protective boxes for testing medical equipment.

By March 18, 2021, two flagships of the new line of medical equipment are already ready for mass production: the R-600 Polydiagnost tomosynthesis complex and the universal R-600 Uniarm-Fluorograph radiographic apparatus. This is a modern X-ray diagnostic equipment of high accuracy and reliability for conducting a wide range of studies: radiography, X-rays, linear tomography, fluorography, etc.

According to Alexander Vedrov, another X-ray device has already successfully passed the "battle test" in the fight against COVID-19, and the mammography complex of the R-500 series is ready. In terms of its technical characteristics, X-ray diagnostic equipment manufactured by Medprom East Kazakhstan region is versatile, ergonomic, safe and meets international and Russian standards, he added. New equipment will soon be put into mass production, but the exact dates by March 18 are not called.^[1]
