The staff of the medical center was sentenced to fines for deceiving the compulsory medical insurance fund

In November 2022, the Pogarsky District Court sentenced the hospital staff found guilty of abuse of office. According to the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the Bryansk region, the chief physician, orthopedic traumatologist and nurse of the district hospital were convicted.

The chief physician of the district hospital, with the complicity of subordinates, in order to transfer funds from insurance organizations to the hospital's account at the expense of the territorial compulsory medical insurance fund for the medical care provided, prepared medical cards for 109 persons.

The documentation contained deliberately false information about their passage of a course of medical rehabilitation in the conditions of inpatient treatment in the institution.

After that, money spent on the payment of bonuses and stimulating payments to the defendants in the case, as well as for the needs of the medical institution, was transferred to the personal accounts of the medical institution. The amount of damage caused to the Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund of the Bryansk Region exceeded 6.2 million rubles.

The court sentenced the head physician to a fine of 70 thousand rubles, a traumatologist-orthopedist to a fine of 50 thousand rubles, and a nurse to a fine of 50 thousand rubles.

The head physician was accused under Part 1 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of office), doctor and nurse - clause 5 of Art. 33, part 1 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (aiding abuse of office).^[1]

The management was accused of entering false information into medical records with damage of 6.2 million rubles

The leadership of the rehabilitation center in the Bryansk region was accused of entering false information into medical records. We are talking about GBUZ "Yudinovskaya district hospital." This was announced on October 21, 2022 by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

According to the investigation, from January to October 2021, health workers entered into the medical records of 109 citizens deliberately false information about their completion of a rehabilitation course in a hospital of a medical institution. For the medical care provided, the funds of the territorial compulsory medical insurance fund were transferred to the personal accounts of the hospital.

As a result of these actions of accomplices, funds spent in the future, among other things, for the payment of bonuses and the work of incentive payments to themselves, as well as for the needs of a medical institution, were unreasonably transferred to the personal accounts of the hospital.

The amount of damage caused to the Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund of the Bryansk Region exceeded 6.2 million rubles.

The criminal case will essentially be considered by the Pogarsky District Court of the Bryansk Region. The deputy prosecutor of the Bryansk region approved the indictment in a criminal case against the chief physician of the Yudinovskaya district hospital, a traumatologist-orthopedist and a hospital nurse. Depending on the role and degree of participation in the crimes committed, they were found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of office), part 5 of Art. 33, part 1 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code RUSSIAN FEDERATION (aiding abuse of office). The names of the accused were not disclosed in the prosecutor's office by October 21, 2022.^[2]
