2022: Atlantia bought Yunex Traffic for $1.1 billion

In mid-January 2022, Atlantia bought the Yunex Traffic traffic management solution business from Siemens. The deal is estimated at $1.1 billion, it is planned to close by September 2022.

Atlantia, controlled by the Benetton family, in 2020 entered into a deal to sell its Italian road division Autostrade per l'Italia to end the dispute caused by the deadly collapse of a road bridge operated by Autostrade in Genoa. By the end of March 2022, the sale of Autostrade is expected to add about 8.2 billion euros to the Atlantia treasury, some of which will be used for expansion in new sectors.
