2022: Tashir Group launched a chain of home goods stores

On July 7, 2022, the Tashir group of companies announced the launch of the Zebra Home chain of home goods stores. The first outlet opened in the Moscow shopping and entertainment center Kvartal West. The total investment in the project exceeded 150 million rubles.

The first Zebra Home store has an area of ​ ​ 1000 square meters. m and an assortment of more than 5 thousand items, including textiles for home and interior, knitwear, etc. Subsequently, furniture, kitchen products, and small construction devices may appear in the chain's stores.

The development of the Zebra Home network is also planned in other cities of Russia. In total, by the end of 2022, it is planned to open 10 stores of different areas (up to 10 thousand square meters) and with a more expanded assortment.

Market participants interviewed by Vedomosti say that against the background of the departure of Western players from the Russian market, such stores will be in demand if they present inexpensive and high-quality goods.

IKEA stores in Russia closed in early March 2022, and on June 15, the retailer announced plans to sell four of its plants in the Russian Federation and reduce business in the country.

Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of Infoline Analytics, notes that IKEA, Zara Home, Jysk occupied slightly less than 10% in the home goods segment. Players such as "Order," "Domovoy," Surerhaus, Kuchenland, Stockmann home are counting on this share. The format of household goods is also presented by the Russian retailer Familia, in the stores of the Polish LPP and the Turkish LC Waikiki.^[1]
