Obtaining an American patent
On October 9, 2015, Zecurion received a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office for proactive shadow copy and content analysis technology.
The main principle of the patented technology is that when a file is written to an external medium, the system creates a copy of it on a local disk, and fictitious data is written to the external medium. After the recording is complete, this copy is analyzed for confidential information in the file and, if necessary, transferred to the archive. If write is allowed by current policies, the file from the local disk is copied to the external media, otherwise the document with the dummy data on the external media is deleted. The uniqueness of proactive shadow copying and content analysis lies in the fact that these operations are carried out before copying the data file to removable media, which guarantees the execution of these operations even with an intentional desire to deceive the system - for example, by quickly pulling the flash drive out of the port immediately after writing the file.
The patented development is used in DLP a system in Zecurion Zlock which enciphering data technology - a cryptoperimeter - is implemented according to the same principle. The cryptoperimeter allows forced encryption of files when copying them to removable devices, depending on security policies, ensuring the protection of confidential information.
"We try to develop high-quality software products and take care of protecting our rights, because the unique developments implemented in Zecurion solutions are another factor in the development and maintenance of the company's competitiveness," said Aleksei Rayevsky, CEO of Zecurion, one of the authors of the invention. "Obtaining a patent once again confirms our leading position in the DLP market, and the patented technology provides a higher level of security for our customers."

Zecurion announced in March 2015 that it had received two licenses from the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control.

Under the terms of the licenses, Zecurion is entitled to perform the following works: development and production of information protection tools, control over the security of confidential information, design in a secure version, as well as installation, installation, testing and repair of information protection tools.
The Zecurion product line includes systems for solving various tasks as part of information protection: Zgate, Zlock, Zserver and Zdiscovery. All four products can be used independently depending on the tasks assigned to the company, and together they form a comprehensive system that provides the most effective protection against information leaks. Zgate analyzes messages transmitted over network channels, Zlock controls printing on printers and copying documents to removable media, Zserver protects information when stored on servers using encryption, Zdiscovery implements the search for confidential information on user computers and in data stores. In addition to the immediate task of internal control, Zecurion products help to solve an equally important task - compliance with industry standards and legislation.
