Ascon changes the western CAD for Compass with big discounts

The new action of one of the largest Russian producers of CAD systems, Ascon companies, is intended for neutralization of solutions of competitors. In its framework the companies using any foreign automated design engineering systems (CAD) which are released before 2009 can purchase the system of a similar class from Ascon-COMPASS - on favorable terms.

At the same time on all jobs purchased according to the program standard conditions of technical support and updates are distributed. Libraries and applications to the Compass system are bought at the listed price. From clients only the written confirmation of failure from an old system is required.

As specified TAdviser in the press service of Ascon, sale of the new license of the program is performed at the updating price of the current COMPASS version, i.e. the current prices on updating are applied to different products: Compas-Grafik, KOMPAS-3D and KOMPAS-SPDS. "As though at the enterprise the licensed software of Ascon of the previous versions was set, and it was updated to the version relevant at the moment", - explained in the company.

For comparison, in Ascon online store one box version of KOMPAS-3D of version 12 costs 110 thousand rubles, and within the Trade-in program will cost three times cheaper – the price will be 38.5 thousand rubles for "box". "The concept of Trade-In is commonly accepted for the automobile market, the market of the professional tool, the construction equipment. At the same time the old equipment not only of "the" producer, but also competitors is accepted. It is normal business practice for the benefit of clients", - said in the company.

At the moment already about 20 companies in Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan took advantage of a special offer of Ascon. Among others software products of the companies Autodesk, PTC and others were replaced.

Among those who already passed to KOMPAS on new rates, "Mondi Syktyvkar Timber Industry Complex" company (Mondi of SLPK (Syktyvkar)). Mundy of SLPK is a part of the international Mondi group and is one of the largest producers of pulp-and-paper products in Russia and the CIS, occupying about 40% of local market. The design department of the enterprise executes the different projects connected with upgrade and reconstruction of the enterprise.

It is reported that before the Syktyvkar producers of paper used the old CAD system of the German developer, "which does not develop any more therefore the enterprise decided to refuse it". The name of vendor is not told.
