By means of a set for migration of Infor tries to minimize difficulties for the clients passing to Workspaces, he told. "One of our purposes that clients worked with the newest and best application without huge costs".

Clients can receive Workspaces as a part of their annual service contract, without separate payment of licenses. Besides, the functionality of Workspaces was implemented in all applications, not only in separate screens, Somasundaram told.

In general the Workspaces interface "looks much better", than the previous interfaces of separate products,Jim Shepherd, the vice president and the analyst of Gartner research firm[[Sheferd Jim|]] told. Besides, it is much better, than the previous attempts of Infor to create the unified "uniform feeling" of the software, he added.

Strategic reasons in actions of Infor consider that the most part of business of the company – cross-sales of products to clients, Sheferd told. "It is one of aspects doing a product attractive to clients of Infor to think of purchase and other products", - the analyst added.

Meanwhile, Infor does not stop in a question of acquisition of the companies. Earlier this month it made the proposal approximately in $1.8 billion for Lawson Software which as of the beginning of Thursday was not accepted.

According to Sheferd, Workspaces matters also in the strategy of acquisitions of Infor. "The product represents investments into the general interface, general navigation platform which they will be able to include in the products purchased in addition. If they as a result purchase Lawson, then will be able to advance Workspaces and on products of this company".
