IT in Retail of 2015 conference on September 16

Growth rates of retail in Russia decreased both at the end of 2013, and at the end of 2014. Throughout a phase of rapid growth of business the retail trading companies remained one of the main IT investors in Russia both on the volume of investments, and on the level of penetration of innovations. Now they appeared before the choice how to solve traditional problems of business, whether it be quality and service rate of clients, assortment management and a warehouse, relationship with partners and buyers, being more selective in questions IT.

Perspective

According to Rosstat, in 2014 retail turnover in Russia was 26.11 trillion rubles that in the comparable prices is only 2.5% more, than the previous year. And in 2013 turnover by 2012 also grew insignificantly – by 3.9% whereas at the end of 2012 dews of turnover equaled 6.3%. Retail had several years of intensive growth when, not least because of IT, interregional empires were built and market shares were actively increased.

It is obvious that IT priorities of both large, and average players in the retail market endure transformation now: level of penetration of information technologies among them is very high so the solution of narrow IT tasks and implementation of new technologies from area of Big Data, analytics, security in trading floors, automation of programs of loyalty, the field of online trade and mobile technologies is relevant for the majority. On the contrary, basic instruments of automation are still required for small retail players. Whether IT appetites of the Russian retailers and what IT trends for them will be reduced will are most relevant? To answer these and other questions the conference of TAdviser.
