Biography

Alexey Agapkin was born in 1975 in the city of Ryazan.

In 1997 he graduated from the Ryazan State Radio Engineering Academy with a degree in Economics and Management at the Enterprise (in Mechanical Engineering).

In 2007, he received a diploma in Master of Business Administration from Oxford University.

He began his career in 1995 as an assistant auditor of Ryazaudit LLP.

From 1996 to 2001 he worked as an expert at the Main Directorate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in Ryazan.

From 2001 to 2008, he worked in the companies of the New Commonwealth holding, headed the instrumental, forging and pressing, press and cutting, foundry, laboratory complex, and the group's management company.

From 2008 to 2011, he worked as a consultant, project manager of the Moscow office of Monitor Group Si-Ai-Es (USA).

2011: Deputy General Director at Sibur-Neftekhim

In 2011, Alexey Agapkin joined SIBUR as Deputy General Director of SIBUR-Neftekhim for Operational Affairs. The division headed by him dealt with the production, sales and logistics of the enterprise.

2013: Sibur-Neftekhim CEO

In 2013, he was appointed General Director of SIBUR-Neftekhim.

In 2016, he headed the center "Production" of SIBUR.

2018: CDO at Sibur and TAdviser interview

In January 2018, he took the position of Director of the Chief Digital Officer function. Alexey Agapkin worked as Digital Director until May 2019, when Alisa Melnikova replaced him in this position. After her appointment, Agapkin took the position of director of Production Efficiency. He is engaged in the development of industries and services, the implementation and replication of developed digital solutions for all enterprises and functions of the group on the part of the largest internal customer, ensuring their adoption and obtaining effects.

2020: Deputy General Director at PGK for Operational Efficiency and Technical Development

On February 3, 2020, the First Freight Company (PGK) introduced the position of Deputy General Director for Operational Efficiency and Technical Development. Alexey Agapkin has been appointed to a new position. Among its key tasks are the introduction of the Production System in PGK, as well as the development and implementation of a strategy for maintaining the company's rolling stock, including through the use of digital approaches in the field of car operation and repair.
