Biography

Education

Konstantin graduated with honors from Moscow University of Fine Chemical Technology (MITHT), has a master's degree in microelectronics.

He additionally studied and received a diploma in strategic marketing and management of a business school in Helsinki, Finland.

Konstantin also received training in the Corporate Finance program of the London Business School.

Career

Konstantin held senior positions in commercial data centers Europe and, Asia among which such well-known international companies as Interxion Virtuus and Chayora.

2020: Managing Director of IXcellerate in Moscow

On May 12, 2020, it became known that IXcellerate, the operator of the network of commercial data centers in Russia, appointed Konstantin Bormann to the post of managing director in Moscow. In this post, he replaced Dmitry Fokin, who left the company.

The main tasks of Konstantin were to bring IXcellerate to the next level of corporate development, implement a long-term growth plan in Russia, attract investments and expand the network of data center campuses, develop services while maintaining the level of quality and neutrality policy, as well as provide impeccable customer service for all customers.

Konstantin Borman is an expert in the data center and telecommunications industry. He has extensive experience in the creation and development of international data center operators providing services in more than 15 countries.

Our company has grandiose plans and ambitions for business development in Russia. And we consistently implement them, including by attracting the best specialists who have convincingly proven themselves in the international market to the team. I and our board of directors welcome Konstantin, who headed IXcellerate at a time when the company is undergoing a stage of rapid growth and determines the strategy for its further development, planning significant investments in Russia.

Having received the offer to lead IXcellerate, I am very glad that I can apply my experience in the development of the Russian data center market and digital infrastructures with great potential. In front of me, the tasks of strategic development and management of the company are set based on the practice of the best international data center operators. 2021: Resignation as Managing Director of IXcellerate

On July 6, 2021, IXcellerate announced that Konstantin Bormann, who headed the company for the past 18 months as managing director, decided to reunite with his family, so he leaves his post and returns to the Netherlands. The management of IXcellerate thanks Konstantin for the work done: under his leadership, business growth has noticeably accelerated, all the milestones planned as part of the strategy have been achieved.
