Condemnation for 14 years of colony in absentia

In March, 2020 Meshchansky district court of Moscow sentenced to long terms of the conclusion of Andrey Borodin, his ex-deputy Dmitry Akulinin and three more persons involved, having found them guilty of plunder more than 14.5 billion rubles. The sentence is pronounced in absentia as persons involved are abroad.

Initial hearings were connected to high-profile criminal case still on May 22, 2019, and on the substance of it considered since June 5 when from the third attempt it was succeeded to bring together lawyers of all persons involved who, by the way, protected them to destination. Trial results the judge Elena Karakeshisheva disclosed couple of days.

It found the former president of Bank of Moscow Andrey Borodin guilty of three episodes of waste in especially large size (Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), having appointed for everyone nine years of imprisonment and a fine of 900 thousand rubles.

As investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs set, and then and court, initiators of plunders were misters Borodin and Akulinin who using the accomplices in 2010 organized issue of obviously irrevocable credit for the amount more than 12.5 billion rubles of Premier Estate Ltd with the authorized capital only 10 thousand rubles and staff of two employees, one of which was the CEO Svetlana Timonina. Under sentence of the same Meshchansky district court the woman got real term in five years which then was reduced to two. Its protection, appealing against judgments, claimed that damage as that as a result received mortgage lands in the west of Moscow where the Inteco construction company belonging to the spouse of the former mayor of the capital Yury Luzhkov Elena Baturina was going to build the elite residential complex was not caused to the creditor. On August 27, 2020 the Moscow City Court confirmed legality sentence concerning the former president of Bank of Moscow Andrey Borodin condemned on 14 years of imprisonment for assignment more than 14 billion rubles.

According to the adjudication, Andrey Borodin will also have to pay a penalty in the amount of 2.5 million rubles. One more defendant in the case, the senior vice president of Bank of Moscow Dmitry Akulinin, received 12 years colonies and fine of 2 million rubles.
