2023: Criminal case on non-payment of salaries to employees

At the end of August 2023, it became known that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against the general director of the IT company Ansystems LLC (brand Gost Group) Pyotr Chernavin. He is suspected of evading the payment of salaries to employees.

According to the Vedomosti newspaper, the criminal case against Chernavin was opened under article 145.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (non-payment of wages, pensions, scholarships, benefits and other payments). It is known that in May 2023, some Ansystems employees spoke about the conflict between them and the company's management. Workers, in particular, complained about non-payment of money due to them. The State Labor Inspectorate of the city of Moscow received an appeal from an Ansystems employee regarding the requirements of Art. 22, 127, 140, 236 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. On this statement, the company issued a warning. It is said that the management of Ansystems promises to pay off debts, but regularly finds reasons for postponing payments.

Vedomosti notes that Ansystems decisions are applied on Sakhalin, in the Moscow government and the Prosecutor General's Office. According to SPARK-Interfax, the largest customer of Ansystems is GKU Infogorod: over the past five years (by August 2023), 35 contracts have been concluded with him for a total of 2.75 billion rubles. The company has FSTEK licenses for TSZKI (means of protecting confidential information) and cryptography, as well as an FSB license to work with cryptography.[1]
