2021
Appointment as Head of Information Technology and Communications Department of RSO-Alania
In early August 2021, Daniil Gakhov was appointed the new head of the RSO-Alania department for information technology and communications. He replaced Alan Salbiev, who resigned in June 2021 after leading the department for almost four years.
The decree on the appointment of Gakhov as the new Chief information officer of North Ossetia was signed by the interim head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, who received this position in April 2021. Since then, several personnel changes have occurred in the regional government.
Before heading the RSO-Alania department for information technology and communications, Daniil Gakhov from June 21, 2021 was the acting head of this department.[1]

2022: Appointment as Head of the North Ossetia Digital Development Committee
In April 2022, Daniil Gakhov was appointed chairman of the digital development committee of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. By decree of the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, the term of office of the chairman of the committee is set from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2025. Read more here.

By May 2022, North Ossetia is implementing a strategy for digital transformation of the region. In accordance with it, by 2024 year, relative to 2019, investments in domestic IT solutions should grow 4 times, the share of electronic mass social significant services will increase to 95%, and the share of households with broadband Internet access should increase to 97%.
One of the sources of solutions for implementation in the region in the future 2020-2024. will be the database of regional cases of digital transformation, created by the organization "Digital Economy," which today has more than 220 projects.
