2023: Appointment as Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency
On September 15, 2023, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree appointing Dmitry Yadrov as head of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia). The former head of the department, Alexander Neradko, was relieved of this position.
Yadrov was born in 1988. He graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation with a degree in Aeronautical Maintenance and Airspace Engineering. After that, he worked in various positions in the State Corporation for the organization of air traffic.
Yadrov began working at the Federal Air Transport Agency in 2019. As deputy head, he coordinated the activities of the agency's structural units in the field of organizing the use of air traffic, flight operation and the development of airfield infrastructure. In addition, Yadrov oversaw the implementation of "the most important sectoral federal projects."
As head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Yadrov's key tasks are to maintain the airworthiness of the aircraft fleet, certify domestic aviation equipment, develop unmanned aircraft and digitalize information systems. He will also have to engage in training and updating the material and technical base of civil aviation educational institutions.
The reasons for Neradko's departure are not officially reported. The Vedomosti newspaper, referring to industry participants, notes that the reshuffle in the leadership of the Federal Air Transport Agency is strategic. In particular, Aeroflot CEO Sergei Aleksandrovsky believes that the appointment of Yadrov to the post of head of the agency will give a new impetus to the development of Russian civil aviation.
He will have a huge amount of work to maintain a high level of flight safety and airworthiness of the operating fleet, commissioning the latest domestic aircraft, developing airport infrastructure and air traffic, Aleksandrovsky said.[4][5] |
