Biography
Born October 7, 1985 in the city of Leninsk, Kazakh SSR. In 2007 he graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance with a degree in Economics. Candidate of Economic Sciences.
Since 2006, he has worked as a specialist in the department of stock and credit operations, financial analyst, specialist in the regional audit department, senior specialist in the internal control department at CJSC EuroAxis Bank, OJSC Bank VEFK, CB Renaissance Capital.
Since 2008, OJSC Sitronics has gone from an internal control and audit specialist to the head of the procurement department.
2011-2019: Head of the satellite system "Gonets"
In September 2011, he was appointed president, since October 2016 - General Director of the Satellite System Gonets company. He led the company until May 2019.

2019: Director of the Digital Transformation Department of the Ministry of Transport
In August 2019, Dmitry Bakanov moved to the Ministry of Transport, where he took the post of director of the digital transformation department, the Vedomosti newspaper reported, citing its sources.
