2022: Appointment as the new head of Rosmorrechflot
At the end of August 2022, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree appointing Zakhary Dzhioev as the new head of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot). He replaced Andrei Lavrishchev, who was relieved of his post in connection with his retirement, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.
RBC announced the upcoming castling in Rosmorrechflot on August 23, 2022. According to the publication, Lavrishchev leaves the post "due to a serious illness" (the diagnosis was not specified), and Dzhioev, being the main candidate for the post of head of the department, has recently been its formal leader.
Then RBC wrote that the last month at almost all events with the participation of Rosmorrechflot, the agency represents one of Lavrishchev's four deputies, Zakhary Dzhioev, adds RBC's interlocutor in the transport company. It is he who is now the main contender for the post of head of the department, RBC interlocutors say. According to their information, Dzhioev, who has been working as deputy head of the agency since 2019, was also the main candidate for the post of head of Rosmorrechflot even before Lavrishchev, who at that time headed the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosmorport (contains hydraulic structures in ports and water channels, manages the fleet - more than 250 vessels).
Lavrishchev's departure from Rosmorrechflot will not affect the functioning of water transport, since this industry is well organized, and most of the players in it are private, says Alexey Bezborodov, managing partner of Infra Projects. According to the expert, Lavrishchev, like his predecessors as head of Rosmorrechflot, will be remembered as "a competent and experienced official, since the issues of regulating sea and river traffic were resolved more productively than in other transport industries."[1]
