Biography

Graduated with honors from Moscow state the University of Applied Biotechnology.

He worked in senior positions in retail operators duty-free trade The Nuance Group AG (,) and Zurich Switzerland Arial Runway Duty Free.

He served as Director of the Department for the Development of Retail Formats of the M.Video and Eldorado brands, where he was responsible for the formation of a retail sales development strategy, the development of solutions in the field of retail technologies, as well as for the introduction of new store formats and sales channels.

2022: Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Board of Detsky Mir

On March 2, 2022, Detsky Mir Group of Companies announced the appointment of Georgy Kononov as operating director and member of the Board of Detsky Mir Group of Companies.

Georgy is responsible for the further development of various formats of stores and sales channels of the Group, improving the efficiency of the use of retail space, as well as for the introduction of technologies and accelerating digital transformation.
