The agency recalls that Yandex Bank was created on the basis of the Acropolis credit institution, which Yandex bought in July 2021 for 1.1 billion rubles. Acropolis licenses allowed Yandex to develop the direction of financial services and create new products for users and partners.
100% of the bank's shares are owned by Yandex.Market Lab LLC, the ultimate beneficiaries of which are Arkady Volozh, a public limited liability company Yandex N.V., Tigran Khudaverdyan, Vladimir Ivanov, as well as American companies Capital Group Companies, Invesco Ltd (Invesco Ltd) and FMR. The twin site could be created to steal data from users who do not notice the substitution and sell it. For search engines, a fake site can become the main one if it launches earlier, and there will be more information on it, RTM Group manager Yevgeny Tsarev told the publication.[1]
