Biography

Ismailov Ruslan Arif oglu was born on July 14, 1977 in Moscow.

In 1996 he graduated from the Moscow University of Consumer Cooperation with a degree in international economist.

He built his professional career in the retail industry. 2002: Work at Metro Cash & Carry

From February 2002 to January 2007, he worked in the Metro Cash & Carry hypermarket chain, where he went from head of the section to director of the hypermarket. In the Western company, decision-making in key areas is limited by clearly defined procedures, which prevents the manager from fully implementing his own business ideas. The acquired knowledge and innovative proposals of Mr. Ismailov interested Lenta, which built its activities on Western examples of wholesale trade.

2007: Regional Director of Lenta, St. Petersburg

In February 2007, Ismailov Ruslan was invited to the post of Regional Director of the St. Petersburg division of Lenta. During this period, Ismailov's operational department housed hypermarkets located in St. Petersburg. Within a short time frame, the Division achieved convincing operating results.

2008: Chief Operating Officer of Lenta Hypermarket Chain

As a result, in July 2008 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Lenta hypermarket chain. Directly under the leadership of Ismailov, 10 new shopping malls were opened. The optimization of processes has solved the main task - to bring the products to the consumer in the shortest possible way at an affordable price. By the end of 2009, the chain consisted of 36 hypermarkets in 17 cities of Russia and by the main indicators was one of the five largest Russian companies in the industry.

2009: Mosmart COO

In September 2009, Ismailov Ruslan was invited to work in the Mosmart Group of Companies as Director of Operations. With the direct participation of Mr. Ismailov, there was a "restart" of the network, which in mid-2009 actually suspended current activities. The first priority was the introduction of a set of measures aimed at restoring the full operation of hypermarkets, optimizing the logistics system and reducing costs.

2010: Deputy General Director of Mosmart

Thanks to a well-conducted anti-crisis program, following the results of the first half of 2010, the Group managed to reach the planned business growth rates. In connection with this fact, in July 2010 he was appointed Deputy General Director of the Mosmart Group of Companies. The area of ​ ​ responsibility includes the organization of the network in accordance with the Group's standards, optimization of business processes, implementation of plans for the development of the network, improving the efficiency of the network, ensuring the efficiency and reliability of logistics processes, forming a policy in the field of sales and procurement, managing assortment policy, ensuring the promotion of hypermarkets.
