Biography

Iris Djeba was born in the Bosnian city of Derwenta, and spent her childhood and student years in Banja Luka. Parents wanted her to become a doctor, but Jeba went to study at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the oldest and largest university in the region (University of Banja Luka).

Career

Working with IBM

From November 2009 to June 2011, she headed the IBM representative office in Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania. Then she worked for about six months in the Chinese office of IBM, after which she returned to the Serbian office, where she worked until January 2015. During this period, in particular, she led the sales of System X server solutions and converged PureSystems solutions in Central and Eastern Europe.

Working in Lenovo

Return to IBM, appointment as head of the Russian representative office

In October 2017, Iris Jeba returned to IBM, having been appointed director for strategic initiatives of the representative office in Russia and the CIS.

On October 5, 2018, according to TAdviser, it was announced to IBM staff that Iris Djeba was becoming their new head instead of Andrei Filatov, who had been managing the office since July 2015.
