2019: CEO of Media-1 Holding

November 12, 2019. Yan Kukhalsky took over as general director of the Media-1 holding, which united the media assets of Ivan Tavrin.

In the framework of this position, Jan Kukhalsky will focus on creating a full-fledged management company, which includes the main functional areas of the holding's activities: finance, strategy, M&A, HR, PR, technology. At the same time, the strategy for the development of the holding's business verticals will be updated, taking into account changes taking place in the media industry and new opportunities associated with the active development of the digital environment.

Previously, Jan Kukhalsky worked at Megafon, where he served as advisor to the general director, and later director for new businesses and partnerships. At the same time, he headed Megalabs as CEO. During the period of operation, it provided a significant increase in revenue and the number of users of additional (VAS) operator services. Since 2012, he was the general director of the Disney Channel (Russia), which is part of the UTV Holding, where he was responsible for the implementation of the channel's development strategy and interaction with the Walt Disney Company CIS team. Prior to that, he served as vice president for sales of the ProfMedia TV division (TV3, MTV and 2x2 TV channels). Since 2008, he was as commercial director at the ProfMedia holding, and before that he headed the sales department of the TV3 TV channel.
