Education

Abdurakhman Makhmudov graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics of Dagestan State University in 1990. In 2013, Makhmudov graduated from the North Caucasus branch of the Law Academy of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation with a degree in lawyer. In 1993, he took higher courses of the Ministry of Security of the Russian Federation.

Career

2017-2022

From 2017 to 2019. worked as deputy head of Makhachkala, and on February 27, 2022 he was appointed Minister of Labor and Social Development of the Republic of Dagestan.

2023: Appointment of Deputy Chairman of the Government of Dagestan for Health

In January 2023, Abdurakhman Makhmudov was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan. In this position, he will oversee health and social projects in the region. This appointment is reported in the Telegram channel of the administration of the head of the subject.

The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, announced new personnel decisions in the government of Dagestan. Abdurakhman Makhmudov, in order to increase the efficiency of the regional government, was appointed to the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan with the supervision of social bloc and health issues, it was reported.

Previously, Makhmudov headed the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the region. After his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister of the region, his predecessor Murad Kaziev received the post of Acting Minister of Labor and Social Development of the region. Since May 2021, Kaziev has worked as Deputy Prime Minister in charge of health care.

In the summer of 2022, Kaziev was reprimanded by the head of Dagestan for not fulfilling the order to build a hospital with 300 beds in Izberbash. The facility began to be built in 2009, and work was suspended in 2014. Kaziev was instructed to complete the delivery of the hospital.[1]
