Biography

Igor was born on May 24, 1972 in Semipalatinsk.

In 1993 graduated from the Almaty Highest boundary command school of KGB of the USSR of F.E. Dzerzhinsky.

In 2000 graduated from the Kaliningrad state university.

In 2004 got an education in Northwest academy of public service.

From 1993 to 1998 served in the Kaliningrad regional government of Federal Border Service of the Russian Federation.

From 1999 to 2006 worked as the CEO of Tekhpromresurs LLC.

From 2006 to 2010 worked as the director of OGUP "Regional Energy Company".

From 2010 to 2011 worked as the deputy manager of the Northwestern Department of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) for the Kaliningrad region.

Since 2012 worked as the acting as the CEO of ZhBI-1 Plant LLC, the chairman of the board of directors of European Industrial Group LLC.

In 2012 it is elected as a member of Board of Directors of JSC Yantarenergo.

In 2012 it is appointed the CEO of JSC Yantarenergo.

For July 29, 2015 Igor Vladimirovich Makovsky worked as the CEO of JSC Yantarenergo.

2018: CEO of IDGC of Centre

On September 19, 2018 it became known that the Board of Directors of IDGC of Centre approved Makovsky Igor Vladimirovich's appointment to a position of the head of IDGC of Centre which for September, 2018 is also sole executive body of IDGC of Centre and Volga region (all companies are included into the Rosseti group).

In this position it is entrusted to Igor Makovsky to replicate the experience got in the Kaliningrad region regarding increase in efficiency, reliability and quality of power supply of consumers of all categories, having paid special attention to strategy implementation of the Rosseti group on creation in Russia until the end of 2030 of an intellectual electric grid.

Igor Makovsky has 15-year length of service in power. It proved on a post of the CEO of Yantarenergo. Under its management all set national objectives were carried out, beginning from building of generation of network infrastructure, necessary for commissioning of objects, finishing with preparation and holding events of the FIFA World Cup of 2018.
