2022: Detention in the case of falsification of the results of examinations on a fatal accident

On September 14, 2022, it became known about the detention of the interim head of the health department in the Tambov region, Marionella Lapochkina, in connection with a criminal case on the death of a person in an accident and an examination against the driver.

According to Kommersant, citing its sources, Marina Lapochkina was detained for 48 hours. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 2019, the woman put pressure on the doctors of the regional and district hospitals to falsify medical documents in the criminal case of Kirill Kornev, the son of the well-known businessman Mikhail Kornev in the region. Local police accused the young man of violating traffic rules while intoxicated, which led to the death of his friend (paragraph "a" of part 4 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

It is clarified that the fatal accident occurred on December 15, 2019 in Michurinsk. Buggy flew off the road and crashed into a pole.

According to Kommersant, witnesses to the incident said in court that they did not see signs of intoxication from Kornev Jr. Also, the smell of alcohol was not felt by health workers from the regional hospital, where he got due to injuries. In medical institutions, the young man was tested three times: the results of a blood and urine study taken in intensive care showed that he was sober.

However, the prosecution built its version around the examination, which showed the presence of alcohol in his blood. The court found her inadmissible evidence: it turned out that one of the tests was taken with a plastic syringe, which was placed in an envelope, but entered the study in a penicillin bottle.

As part of the detention of Lapochkina, searches were carried out in the building of the regional health department on September 14, the regional information policy department told RBC. Acting Tomsk governor Vladimir Mazur was warned about them in advance.^[1]
