Biography

Sergey Mednov was born on May 10, 1966.

In 1990 he graduated from the Ordzhonikidze Moscow Aviation Institute with a degree in computer-aided design systems. He received a business education at the REA named after Plekhanov with a degree in Finance and Credit, and also received training in a number of international management business programs.

From 1994-1997 served as Deputy Chairman of the IT Board at Montazhspetsbank.

From 1997 to 2000 - Deputy Chairman of the IT Board at Probusinessbank.

Later, Sergey Mednov was a member of the board of Alfa-Bank and led the IT and Electronic Business units.

2012: Senior Vice President of the Bank of Moscow for IT and Innovation

In November 2012, Sergey Mednov was appointed Senior Vice President of the Bank of Moscow. In his position, he oversees the IT unit, and is also responsible for the development of innovative areas of the banking business.

In 2013, after coordination with the MSTU of the Bank of Russia, Sergey Mednov was appointed to the post of member of the Board of the Bank of Moscow.

Senior Vice President at Otkritie Bank

Sergey Mednov was appointed to the post of senior vice president, head of the operational and technological block of Otkritie Bank ^[1] of ^[1]

Under the leadership of Mednov, there are technological and operational areas of the bank, digital projects: Internet and mobile bank, agent banks, e-commerce, Internet and mobile acquiring and others.

In this position, he combined the management of the bank's IT and operating systems. Sergey also heads the working group on the merger of operational blocks, IT and processing of Otkritie Bank and Otkritie FC Bank.

After the reorganization of Otkritie FC Bank began, part of the credit institution's team moved to Russian Capital Bank. On January 19, 2018, the bank's board of directors approved Mednov's candidacy for the position of member of the board. However, a week later, the council declared this decision invalid. The press service of the bank "Russian Capital" reported that the reason for this is the personal circumstances of the banker (the need for treatment).

Since June 2018, he worked as the first vice president of Gazprombank.

2021: Leaving Gazprombank

In July 2021, Sergei Mednov left the post of first vice president of Gazprombank and focused on the development of his own projects.
