Education

Svetlana Mozhaeva graduated from the Russian Economic Academy named after G.V. Plekhanov in the specialties "Banking" and "Accounting, AHD and Audit." He has an MBA degree (MIRBIS, London Metropolitan University) with a degree in Financial Management.

Career

1997-2016

Since 1997, she worked in Russian retail companies. In particular, in 2005-2009 she acted as financial director and was engaged in the development of the MTS retail network. In addition, she served as Deputy General Director of Utkonos.

In 2011, Mozhaeva joined the Familia team: she was responsible for business development, building all the key processes of the company and for its financial stability. Since January 2016, she served as Deputy General Director of Familia, and in April 2020 she was appointed General Director of this network.

2025: Appointment as CEO of OBI Network in Russia

On May 5, 2025, it became known that construction Obi Russia Svetlana Mozhaeva was appointed to the post of general director of the hypermarket chain. Previously, she served as head of the off-price chain of stores. Familia

After almost 14 incredible years at Familia, it's time for new challenges - I'm taking over as CEO of OBI Russia. This is a great honor and responsibility. Now a new challenge awaits me, "says Mozhaeva.

She stresses that since she joined Familia in 2011, the chain has grown from 60 to nearly 500 stores. At the same time, Familia entered the top 500 largest companies in Russia and took "leading positions in industry ratings." In turn, the OBI network as of May 2025 has 26 hypermarkets in Russia in 12 cities: 10 in Moscow, 5 in St. Petersburg, 2 stores each in Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg and one each in Kazan, Krasnodar, Saratov, Ryazan, Bryansk, Tula and Volgograd. The assortment is more than 80 thousand items of goods.^[1]
