Biography

Olga Sorokina has an MBA degree in Corporate Director (MGIMO), ACE from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), graduated from the Emerging Technologies in Business course at GISMA Business School (London), and studied at the Higher School of Economics in the course "Marketing Strategy in Digital Channels." Olga was also awarded the international qualification of a certified director of the British Institute of Directors (IoD).

Olga led the development and implementation of the VSK Insurance House digital transformation strategy. Insurance House VSK is switching to a new target architecture, abandoning industrial box solutions and independently building a microservice architecture from 2020. As of November 2022, since the start of the strategy, 30% of the company's solutions have been created in the target architecture.

To implement the strategy, a methodology for organizing work was chosen - SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) technology. More than 500 people (58 teams of employees in 9 "trains" (Agile Release Train)) from different departments of the company implement key products and transform existing solutions. This methodology allows a flexible approach to achieving the set goals, while clearly coordinating the relationship of created values ​ ​ between teams, excluding the possibility of duplication of functionality. At the same time, the key approach in the strategy is precisely the transformation of processes, which gives the client a completely new product and new client experience.

Key digital transformation projects:

• The only end-to-end online process for car insurance - from purchase to settlement, this process has been scaled up to all regions and now 60% of customers will settle insurance cases on online insurance insurance;

• In the fall of 2021, the VSK was the first on the market to introduce the process of "smart settlement on Casco" - damage recognition using artificial intelligence (without the participation of an inspection expert), in 2022 this service is gradually scaled in all regions;

• VSK was the first among insurance companies to introduce an updated Europrotocol, which allows citizens to record an accident without calling the traffic police on two smartphones in parallel and increases the limit of payments by 4 times, to 400 thousand rubles;

• An integration platform has been created that makes API technology one of the tools for the development of VSK. Today, it has formed more than 30 products and more than 200 integrations of product solutions for the market;

• In 2022, VSK was one of the first on the market to launch a digital medical clinic;

• VSK implemented digital bank guarantees on the Masterchain platform;

• As part of the formation of the best offer for the client, VSK has implemented predictive models to assess the propensity for demand and create a target offer.

Under the leadership of Olga VSK, the direction of digitalization of insurance medicine in the financial market is leading and presented the corresponding initiative as part of the formation of the roadmap of the National Program "Digital Economy" at the sites of the ANO "Digital Economy," the Bank of Russia (FinTech Association) and the Ministry of Health of Russia.

As part of the development of digital competencies, hackathons are held in VSK and communities (communities) are formed: IT guilds, a community of practitioners, an IT academy.

Together with the Bank of Russia, the FintechHub development project was implemented for students at the Sirius site. IT hubs have been formed in Volgograd and Tomsk, an agreement on internships with leading technological universities has been signed.

For many years, Olga has been included in the rating of "Top 1000 Russian Managers" of the Association of Managers of Russia and the publishing house "Kommersant," in 2020 she was recognized as "Person of the Year" according to the Annual National Business Award "Company of the Year 2020," and in 2022 she became the winner of the competition "Business Women" according to the company B1 (formerly - company EY) in the nomination "Financial Services."
