Biography
Vladimir Yakovlevich Pospelov was born on July 21, 1954 in Severodvinsk of the Arkhangelsk region.
Graduated from department "Electric equipment of courts" of power-machine-building faculty Sevmashvtuza in Severodvinsk in 1980.
In 1993 graduated from the Leningrad shipbuilding institute.
Candidate of Technical Sciences studied at faculty of preparation and advanced training of Military academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
In 1971 worked as the mechanic of machine-assembling works in Sevmashpredpriyatiye Production Association.
Served conscription service in the Soviet Army from 1972 to 1974.
In 1975 - 1993 worked in software Arctic (Severodvinsk): construction electrician, engineer, master, general foreman, deputy executive director for commercial work.
1993: CEO Northern Production Association Arktika
From 1993 to 1999 - the CEO of the federal state unitary enterprise "Northern Production Association "Arktika"".
1999: CEO of the Russian Shipbuilding Agency
In 1999 the order of the Government of the Russian Federation it is appointed the CEO of the Russian Shipbuilding Agency.
Since 2000 - the valid state councilor of the Russian Federation of 1 class (The decree of the Russian President of October 12, 2000).
Since June, 2004 - the vice president of the State Russian center of atomic shipbuilding.

For May 10, 2018 Vladimir Yakovlevich Pospelov works as the member of board of the Military-industrial commission of the Russian Federation.
