Biography

Worked as the CEO of the Mytishchi branch of Voentelecom — 22 experimental plants of means of communication.

2015: Imprisonment for 4.5 years

On January 20, 2015 the Main Military Procuracyof the Russian Federation announced adjudgement to Andrey Scherbakov - the former director of one of divisions of Voentelecom. The court found him guilty of fraud and taking into account execution of terms of agreement about cooperation sentenced to 4.5 years of imprisonment with serving sentence in corrective colony of ordinary regime and also to a penalty in the amount of 900 thousand rubles.

According to law enforcement agencies, in 2011-2013 in course of execution of the government contract on repair of the machinery and equipment of communication Scherbakov, working in collusion to the management Voentelecom, through subcontract organizations at the underestimated cost purchased non-conforming items.

At the time of Andrey Scherbakov's "landing" the ex-CEO of Voentelecom Nikolay Tamodin contains under arrest within the same criminal case

Further these products according to fraudulent documents were accepted on balance of the subordinated plants as new to use in productive activity. As a result of these frauds the damage in the amount of more than 714 million rubles was caused to the state.

According to the Main Military Procuracy, concerning other participants of criminal group criminal case is still investigated. At the same time for the purpose of compensation of the damage caused to the state the property of participants of this criminal group for the amount over 210 million rubles was arrested.

One of defendants within this criminal case there passes the former CEO of Voentelecom Nikolay Tamodin. Law enforcement agencies announced his detention in September, 2013. After that the term of keeping of Tamodin under arrest repeatedly lasted. Last time it was prolonged in November, 2014 till February, 2015.
