2023: Appointment of Deputy Minister of Digital Development of the Russian Federation

On December 19, 2023, Sergei Kuchushev was appointed to the post of Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, the corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Kuchushev will oversee the development of state policy in the development of the information technology industry, the Ministry of Digital Development said.

In the field of its competencies, as explained in the press service of the ministry, there will be the implementation of state support measures aimed at the development and implementation of Russian software (software), the state policy on the transition of government agencies to domestic solutions, the development of a digital transformation strategy, accreditation of IT companies and the organization of work on the formation and maintenance of the register of domestic software.

Earlier, these issues in the Ministry of Digital Development were supervised by Maxim Parshin, who is under investigation in a corruption case.
