Lyudmila Shkirtil is a Russian singer (mezzo-soprano).
Biography
Born in Leningrad.
She graduated from the Music College of mm. N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov in the specialties of choral conducting and solo singing, and the vocal department of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov (class of E.K. Perlasova) in 2001
She made her debut on the stage of the large hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic in 1994 (Gloria by A. Vivaldi), on the opera stage in 1997 (Eugene Onegin, nanny, Opera and Ballet Theater of the St. Petersburg Conservatory). There she also performed the parts of the Countess and Polina in The Queen of Spades by P.I. Tchaikovsky, Siebel and Martha in Faust by Sh. Guno, Lyubashi in The Tsar's Bride by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov.
She made her debut abroad in 2001 (Don Carlos, Ebola, Stadtteater Kiagenfurt, Austria).
The singer's repertoire is wide and diverse - cantata and oratorio compositions, opera, chamber music, works of modern composers. Vocal cycles occupy a special place in it:
- "Songs and Dances of Death" by M. Musorgsky,
- "Spanish Songs" by D. Shostakovich,
- "Departed Russia" G. Sviridova,
- "Russian Notebook" by V. Gavrilin,
- "Girl from the Mountains" E. Riga,
- De Falya "Seven Spanish Songs" and others.
Her series of concerts "Romance about Romance" is dedicated to Russian romance, in which sixteen programs were presented to the public.

Tchaikovsky, Romances by Russian ances by Russian composers of the 19th century (s), Yuri Serov vocal compositions by Rubinstein).
For 2024, Mila Shkirtil is the head of the Department of Academic Vocals of the Mussorgsky St. Petersburg College of Music, a teacher at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg Conservatory.
