2024: Appointment as CEO of Kai Rus LLC, Russian car distributor Kaiyi
At the end of January 2024, Mikhail Stepanov headed Kai Rus LLC, which is the distributor of cars of the Chinese brand Kaiyi. Prior to Stepanov, Kirill Kirillov was the CEO of the company.
According to the press service of Kai Rus LLC, before becoming the head of the company, Mikhail Stepanov for 12 years headed the post-sale service departments in such major automotive companies as Scania, Mercedes Benz Trucks Russia, as well as Isuzu. He went from a logistics specialist to a member of the executive committee of Isuzu Rus, added to Kai Rus.
As Interfax notes, Kaiyi is a sub-brand of the Chinese car brand Chery, sales of the brand's cars on the Russian market started in 2023. By February 2024, the model range of the family in the Russian Federation is represented by the Kaiyi E5 sedan, the city crossovers Kaiyi Kh3 and X3 Pro The brand's cars are also produced at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad[1]
