Biography

Tomasz Bochenek received an academic degree in the field of electrical equipment in the Warsaw University of Technology and degree of the Master of Business Administration at the Open university in Great Britain and at the University of Minnesota.

Worked in the companies Hyundai, Compaq and IBM.

2000: The CEO of Microsoft in Poland

In 2000 joined Microsoft as the CEO of the company in Poland. According to Microsoft, under its management growth of business of the company in this market exceeded 200%.

In 2005 Bochenek was appointed the vice president for sales and marketing in Central and Eastern Europe. Its area of responsibility included development of sales, marketing and services in the region.

Then he held a position of the general manager on consumer markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

Tomasz Bochenek also worked as the operating officer (COO) of Microsoft in Russia. The company notes that on this position he played an important role in ensuring effective work, growth and digital transformation of the Russian business, contributed significantly to progress of corporation in Central and Eastern Europe.

2017: The president of Microsoft in Russia

On June 27, 2017 representatives of Microsoft announced TAdviser Tomasz Bochenek's appointment the new president of the company in Russia. He submits to Don Grentam, the president of Microsoft in Central and Eastern Europe.

Microsoft notes that else before official appointment Tomasz Bochenek begins to cooperate closely with the Russian business and a partner ecosystem that "promote progress of implementation of cloud computing and digital transformation in this market, important for corporation".

I with pleasure and impatience wait for an opportunity to begin work in a new position. Together with our pilot top management in Russia I intend to promote as growth of business of Microsoft, and our customers and partners on the way to digital transformation, - Bochenek said.

Tomasz Bochenek releases Pavel Betsis holding this position since 2014 from the president's duty. It remained in the company until the end of August, 2017 for transfer of affairs.

2019: Departure from the job of the president of Microsoft in Russia

On February 27, 2019 it became known that on March 15, 2019 Tomasz Bochenek will leave a post of the president of Microsoft in Russia. In this quality it will be replaced by Christina Tikhonova. The Microsoft corporation intends to announce further steps of Tomasz in addition.
