1985: The programmer in IBM

Since 1985 Pavel Betsis started a career in IBM, there passed the way from the programmer to the head of sales department. Then worked as the regional manager of sales department of Sterling Software company. Was the chief executive officer of pVelocity.

2009: The head of Cisco in Russia

In September, 2009 Pavel Betsis headed the Russian office Cisco. It released Robert Eydzhi who directed the company in Russia for 12 years from this duty.

In September, 2012 Pavel Betsis is appointed the vice president of Cisco in Russia and the CIS countries.

2014: Appointment of Microsoft as the head in Russia

In the fall of 2013 Pavel Betsis left Cisco and passed to work into Microsoft. Instead of it Chernovolenko Sergey was appointed the head of the Russian office Cisco.

In 2014 Microsoft announced Pavel Betsis's appointment since July 1 the president of the Russian representative office. Before he held in the company a position of the head of business strategy in Central and Eastern Europe.

Betsis's transition to a new position is connected with the fact that Microsoft expanded powers of Nikolay Pryanishnikov directing local representation since 2009, having appointed it to a position of the vice president for business development in Central and Eastern Europe.

The Russian office Microsoft reported to TAdviser that the management of development center -"Microsoft Development Centre Rus" - will also pass from Nikolay Pryanishnikova in Pavel Betsis because the new position of Pryanishnikova means frequent business trips to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

2017: Leaving Microsoft

On June 8, 2017 it became known of Pavel Betsis's resignation from a post of the head of the Russian representative office of Microsoft. TASS with reference to the source familiar with Betsis's plans, reported that the head of "Microsoft Russia" will resign the authority in August, 2017. In July the term of its employment contract with the company expires.

New work location of Pavel Betsis is not called. The interlocutor of the agency only reported that the head will be engaged in own projects outside Russia. The statement for the one who will head the Russian representative office of Microsoft after Betsis, is going to be made towards the end of June, 2017.

The company reported to TAdviser that the company does not comment on rumors.

As noted a source of TASS, under the leadership of Pavel Betsis business of Microsoft grew in Russia mainly thanks to segments of large corporate business (the main deposit) and also medium and small business. Rise is connected with natural increase in business needs for IT solutions, prolongation of contracts and emergence of new IT solutions, he noted.

The share of public sector and segment of the user solutions in structure of revenue of Microsoft slightly decreased. In general it did not exceed 15% of the general business of the company. And the company connects decrease in a share of this segment not only with the import substitution policy implemented in the Russian Federation but also with the advent of legislative bans on use of the cloud services placed outside the country with requirements about a personal data storage of Russians in the territory of Russia.[1]

Later, on June 27, Microsoft reported that in Russia instead of Pavel Betsis Tomasz Bochenek is appointed the new president of the company.
