Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree appointing Dmitry Ugnivenko as Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. The corresponding document was published on October 18, 2023.
Prior to that, Dmitry Ugnivenko worked in the Ministry of Digital Development as the director of the department and oversaw the development of infrastructure projects, in particular - connecting socially significant objects to the Internet, providing Wi-Fi in schools and the program "Eliminating digital inequality," within which small settlements are connected to the Internet.
As noted by RIA Novosti, Ugnivenko replaced Dmitry Kim as Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, who resigned in September 2023 for family reasons. He has held this post since 2021, coordinated the work of the ministry in various areas of the communications industry, reminds the news agency.
