2024: Appointment as Chairman of the Board of the Moscow Exchange

On September 30, 2024, the Moscow Exchange announced the change of chairman of the board. The place of Yuri Denisov was taken by the head of the National Settlement Depository (NSD) Viktor Zhidkov.

Denisov served as chairman of the board of the Moscow Exchange since May 2019. At various times, he was also a member of the site's supervisory board.

In June 2024, the UK imposed sanctions on the Moscow Exchange, the National Clearing House (NCC) and NSD. Then Denisov was included in the sanctions list. Prior to this, the United States introduced sanctions against the Moscow Exchange, the NCC and NSD.[2]
